  • No on-board Wi-Fi. The original Orange Pi 5 has no wireless; add an M.2 E-key card or USB adapter (the 5B variant includes it).[1]

History and use today

Editorial

History

Released late 2022, the Orange Pi 5 undercut most RK3588 boards on price by using the cut-down RK3588S.[1]

Still useful for

Good value for a compact home server; software support is best through Armbian and the vendor images.
