Can I still use it?
- Raspberry Pi OS
- Supported[10]32-bit image; the 64-bit image needs a 64-bit model such as the Pi 3 or later.
As published by each project, checked weekly. A platform not listed has no published information here, which is not the same as no support.

History and use today
History
Announced in July 2014, the B+ kept the original chip but replaced the linear regulators with switching ones, cutting power use, and introduced the 40-pin header and the board outline that every flagship Pi since has kept.[7]
Still useful for
Any HAT designed for later Pis fits it physically, which makes it a cheap home for simple GPIO projects. It is still ARMv6 and single core, so expect a slow desktop.
